“The Green Thing” Carbon Neutral Goal

As usual we would like our Blog reading customers to be the first with the news, hence this post.

As a lot of you know the Green Thing is close to our hearts and we have been doing our bit as have the makers of our wonderful products. Reducing, Reusing and Recycling has been our aim for a long time now.
In our efforts, we have realised that it is possible or even essential  for even a small business like ours to do even more.
So today we started our steps to voluntary become Carbon Neutral and offset the unavoidable through verified carbon reduction projects and planting trees in Yorkshire and Humber and soon also planting in Germany. Thereby doing our bit to help prevent climate change and creating space for wildlife.

You will be able to read about our efforts and what we are doing, here and also on our website, just click on The Green Thing.

Wonder in Wood “The German Christmas Shop” at the movies.

The film buffs amongst you will have to look out for our pieces in TWO films due to be released later this year.

Last year we were approached by two film companies looking for props for their films, of course we were happy to help.

One of the films, the highly anticipated Prometheus by Ridley Scott. Yes, science fiction, so your guess is as good as mine as to where our pieces are going to appear in the film. We will have to wait and see, exciting.

The second film, a British film, could be a blockbuster, undoubtably it will have many fans around the world (a slight hint)

We have been sent a photo from the film showing our pieces on set, looks good, one of them could even have a pretty good role in the film. You will have to wait and see.

More information will appear on our Blog, Facebook and Twitter and we will be also having a competition to win a nice, related prize, closer to the release date, so stay tuned.

An while we are on the subject, so to speak, did any of our Welsh friends see our pieces on an episode of the BBC Wales program Pobol y Cwm? If so we would love to hear what you thought. Drop us a line or post a comment.
